The Noblitt Scholars Program is designed to guide and support highly motivated, self-directed learners as they identify an area of interest to them, develop expertise in that area, and turn their passion and knowledge into action.
Each year, through a rigorous and competitive application process, Rose-Hulman selects approximately 40 first-year students representing diverse academic interests and backgrounds to become Noblitt Scholars.
As a Noblitt Scholar, you will have access to resources and support that might include travel experiences, leadership training, faculty mentoring, and much more. Every Noblitt Scholar will also receive financial assistance, with enhanced scholarships up to full tuition.
START WITH YOUR PASSION
Noblitt Scholars recognize that the technical expertise and knowledge that a Rose-Hulman education provides can be a powerful tool for making a difference. Whether your passion lies in sustainability, entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, or health care, as a Noblitt Scholar, you’ll work to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the subject you choose while gaining the skills to make a positive difference on our campus and in our world.
WHAT'S EXPECTED OF A NOBLITT SCHOLAR
Noblitt Scholars are expected to become leaders who leave their mark on the Rose-Hulman community during their four years on campus. You will create an intentional plan using Rose-Hulman’s resources to broaden your understanding of an issue that ignites your passion. You’ll discover the ways in which your growing expertise can be used to serve others by taking part in community service projects, research projects, and campus initiatives.
Noblitt Scholars must also be effective communicators and be willing to serve as full-time ambassadors of all that’s best about Rose-Hulman. By the time you graduate, you will have the skills and experience needed to become a difference-maker in our world.
THE APPLICATION PROCESS
All students who apply to attend Rose-Hulman are automatically considered for the Noblitt Scholars program. For full consideration, students should apply "Early Action." After admissions decisions are made, selected students are invited to apply for a place in the program.
We are looking for students who want to make a positive impact on the world and are willing to put in the effort to achieve their dreams for the entire four-year program.
