Dr. Scott McClellan’s recent research project with students focused on ways to encapsulate drugs to be released into the body through biodegradable delivery vehicles. He also has researched the use of liquid crystals as biosensors and worked with fellow faculty members to develop online materials for chemical engineering courses. He has serves as a faculty mentor for high-school seniors completing science projects in Rose-Hulman’s Operation Catapult summer program. Dr. McClellan previously worked in the field at BHP Minerals.
