FIRST JOB AFTER ROSE-HULMAN?
After leaving Rose-Hulman, I joined a small logistics company in Indianapolis as a Process Engineer. My main focus was improving processes and efficiency throughout the company's transportation and warehouse facilities.
MOST VALUABLE LESSON YOU LEARNED ON THAT JOB?
The most valuable lesson I learned in my first job was the ability to ask smart, relevant questions. In most technology positions a key factor that is often neglected is communication among teams. Being able to ask questions and get colleagues to understand where you are coming from is essential.
MOST MEMORABLE ROSE-HULMAN PROFESSOR?
Dr. Julia Williams [English]. Mostly because we both were featured in an awesome Homecoming film, "Return of the Tiger: a Homecoming Film," produced by the Rose-Hulman Film Club in 2004.
IDEAL WEEKEND?
Relaxing in the backyard with my family!
STAR TREK OR STAR WARS?
No question. Star Wars!
WHAT IS THE NERDIEST THING YOU DO?
I'm a total Lego geek. I keep all of my Legos organized in tackle boxes, and have a “Lego room” specifically set up for building!
