The Color Guard proudly serves the unit, participating universities and the community at many different events. The Wabash Battalion Color Guard is present at all Rose-Hulman home football games.
Student Opportunities
There are a variety of opportunities and events in ROTC Army for you to take advantage of beyond the classroom and field training. These hands-on opportunities are great for getting to know your fellow cadets, while improving your skills and becoming better acquainted with military culture.
Color Guard
Bold Warrior Challenge
The Bold Warrior Challenge is an opportunity for schools to compete while completing military tasks. In addition to a written examination where Cadets test their Army knowledge, there are physical fitness drills and field exercises. Battalions leave the event with stronger bonds and sharper skills.
Military Ball
Every year, cadets plan and conduct a Military Ball, which is a great way for them to learn Army customs and traditions in the process. This event also provides cadets with a chance to practice detailed mission planning and learn the importance of rehearsals.
Army Careers
After completion of the Army ROTC program, graduates will be commissioned into the Army as Second Lieutenants. In the Army, officer career fields are known as branches, and after choosing an Army branch, Second Lieutenants will have the opportunity to pursue specialized training.
Nursing
Enrolling in Army ROTC can enhance your leadership skills and critical thinking abilities while providing financial aid to help you become a nurse. As an Army Nurse and Officer, you will have the opportunity to train and serve in a variety of specialties.
Field Artillery Officer
Field artillery officers lead the field in artillery branch, working to neutralize the enemy. Knowledge of tactics, techniques and procedures for the employment of fire support systems is critical in this role.
Engineer Officer
Engineer officers are responsible for supporting a range of duties. Responsibilities might include building structures, developing civil works programs and providing combat support.
