FIRST JOB AFTER ROSE-HULMAN?
Plus-One Manager at TriMedx, training to be a Clinical Engineering Manager.
MOST VALUABLE LESSON YOU LEARNED ON THAT JOB?
Always be willing to learn something new and volunteer to do something that isn’t part of your job responsibility.
MOST MEMORABLE ROSE-HULMAN PROFESSOR?
Dr. Diane Evans [Mathematics]. She was enthusiastic about the material and very creative with how she presented it to us. She made learning about statistics fun. She also was very interested in our extracurricular activities as students. She came to many of my basketball games and always kept up with the team.
IDEAL WEEKEND?
Going on a spontaneous vacation to somewhere I’ve never been, preferably out of the US. I’d love to go to a Spanish-speaking country to try out my six years of Spanish education.
STAR TREK OR STAR WARS?
Star Trek! I’ve never seen any Star Wars movies. Crazy, right?
WHAT IS THE NERDIEST THING YOU DO?
I don’t know if it’s nerdy, but I plan my whole work and personal life on my phone calendar. I even have a calendar reminder to brush my teeth at nighttime because I would forget! I have about five different to-do lists, grocery lists, etc. on my phone at all times.
ADVICE TO INCOMING ROSE-HULMAN STUDENTS?
Everyone in the Rose-Hulman community is here to help you succeed. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, lots of them! Actually, you will be more successful if you ask for help when you really need it.
